How to Design Beautiful Quotes Images and Photos

One of the greatest efforts that designers make is to convince the client of the value of our work against the investment that represents him. We fight all the time because he understands that he is not buying a logo, but a service that derives from a graphic object.

And they usually don’t teach us the basic structure of a budget anywhere. Maybe I’m exaggerating but they didn’t show me anywhere and those who ask me either.

The budget, or quotation, is vital for any entrepreneur who provides services or sells products . It will indicate to our client the investment that will involve the service or product requested. In addition, it is an excellent opportunity to convince a potential client to buy us because it is perhaps the first thing he will see of your work.

Do you like little or nothing to talk about money with your users and customers? I confess that I … I hate it! But why fool ourselves? We have to make our work worthwhile, so that’s what it is all about.

After several headaches that consumed me hours trying to present custom budgets, I realized that I needed to make an Excel template (but now!).

I have not shared this type of resources for some time, which makes our lives easier for everyone, especially when it comes to earning our daily plan.

Although it has not been a simple task, since not all of us are focused on the graphic design sector, I have managed to create a template for fully editable Excel budgets, so that by changing only some data, you can take advantage of it for any activity.

Something that is usually a problem for most professionals in creative areas is to find a good methodology to quote their services. Whether they areĀ  typography designers, developers, photographers, video producers, illustrators or others, it is always difficult to find a balance between charging a project as best as possible and not driving away customers with prices outside the market.

Unique Ideas to Design Quotes Images

That is why I want to share some of the ideas, methodologies and experiences that I have acquired in recent years that I think can be useful for those who are just beginning in this environment as well as for those who are veterans but do not feel 100% satisfied with the way in which they charge their projects.

Have a look on this quotation from JOE_.

Some of these methodologies and techniques can be used together to create creative design and others are exclusive but surely you can find something that fits your profession, way of working and clients. More than the technique itself, this text is about the idea behind all these techniques: that you need to charge fairly for you and your client.

The recommendation is to divide it into phases, pointing each part of your creative and application process, so that it becomes something close to a map or work schedule.

Each phase should contain these points:

  • What you are going to do
  • What the client will receive and how
  • How much it will cost
  • How long it will take

In this way, When the project has already been approved and you are asked for last-minute changes that make you return to the beginning, you can re-charge the phases that you had to repeat.
